IT'S BEEN SO LONG

Hi everybody. Long time no hear from me. Hehehe. Well, I 've got a few reasons for not updating my blog. One, I guess I ran out of ideas especially when I see more beautiful freebies on other blogs. I ask myself why make freebies when there are tons out there. Pirates will get them anyway. Grrrrrrrrr! Next is I want to go back learning more photo effects in photoshop. Hmmmm. do you think it is OK to share other people's tutorials here? Well, I guess I better be safe. I probably just take note of their links which I NORMALLY forget to do. Hihi. Well, the real main reason for not blogging right now is FACEBOOK! I got so hooked up with their games. Farmtown, Farmville, Lil Farm, Fish World, Yoville, and Cafe World. Well, I am almost done with a couple of farms and retire playing them. hehe. No regrets. I gained more friends anyway. And a lot of my SBF friends are there too . I am sure some of them are not posting new scrapbook pages in SBF lately like myself because of these games too. Hahahaha!

Well, I can't stop without leaving you guys something. So here's a little freebie for you. I know they are simple but I still hopeyou like them. Please give a little love when you get them.

SISTERS WORDART

Hi! Iknow it has been a long time. ihave been quite busy lately. First my sisters , Nida and Liza, My niece Pia was here for a vacation and to celebrate my 50th birthday ( agh!)last July. Ate Nida stayed for a week while Liza and Pia stayed a weel longer. We had great fun. It has been a year since Isaw them so I was really thrilled with their arrival. We just toured around Dumaguete ( just a small place on one of the Philippine Islands .LOL.

The sample picture is our eldest sister Nida. it was really sad that she had to leave earlier. Time was too short for our bonding. When I was scrapping some our photos, I got inspired to do some wordarts about sisters. This is what I really feel for her and LIza. The other photo is just the three of us taking a dip in the cold natural spring waters of Forrest Camp in Valencia. We just stayed in the water to take pictures. It was super cold.

I am sure these wordarts will be very useful for your scraps so I hope you like them. Gotta go now. I having allergies and slight colds. I think it was the smell of cut grass. I had my bermuda grass cut yesterday.

Iya's Pink Room

There's is an upcoming challenge in Scrapbookflair called Create a Child's room or Nursery. I wanted to create my own room for Iya and when I finished it, i decided to make it as a quickpage. I am sorry i could not put the elements I used in the sample photo. I ws not able to ask permission from the designers. Anyway, I am putting the name of their blogs as credit to them. I hope I did not miss any. It took me about 4 days to decorate it .LOL Phew. I really enjoyed doing it though . I hope you like the QP just used the magic of hue/saturation adjustment layer on photoshop to change the color of the room. I had a hard time with the curtain so I am so sorry if it isn't perfect.

BTW, do you see my new animation award on my sidebar. That's from Xena! She made it for me. Sooooo cute! Thank you my dear friend! You are one of the sweetest I have.

This is my grandson Popo.He recentlyhad a basketball tournament of his guest's fathers last June. When I visited Xena's Blog http://maidenxenaprincesswarrior.blogspot.com/ , I saw this cute basketball Quick Page which is so perfect for Popo. I also entered this animation in an Animation Challenge at Scrapbookflair . Isn't it cool.

First CU Freebie

It is a lovely day today. I have been very busy with my grand daughter Iya who is on vacation with us. Unfortunately, she's going back to Cebu by Friday. Dad and I will bring her to Cebu because her mom and dad can't come over to pick her up. Well, at least i will be with Iya for another 2 days. hehe. I am so happy too that we were able to talk to Edrie and Jimboy on the phone . I miss them so very much. I wonder when we will all be together again. Well, i hope next year.

Actually, I just played around with my adobe plugin called SuperBladePro. It is fantastic . The best thing about this plugin is there are tons of freebie effects that you can get in the net. Hmmmm, I think they should pay me for advertising.Hihihi .Anyway, I hope you like it . Please read my TOU before using this freebie. I always forget putting my TOU on my freebies. Adorable and Furry

I am so in mood so I made a mini kit . I was trying one of my my plugins and discovered that I can make a furry effect. The other I was tryng to learn more abour adobe Illustrator but I failed. I really need a real basic tutorial on how to go about with the tools and how to manage the layers. i find it a lot more completed than the photoshop. If anybody knows any basic tutorial on Adobe Illustrator, please let me know. I wanted to use its extrude feature to make a 3D effect but i could not understand the instruction of a tutorial i discovered in photoshoproad map.It is also one great program to animate so I really need a good and easy tutorial. Please help me on this.

Anyway, I have a plugin calledAlien Skin: Eye Candy:Impact which has an extrude feature too. I used this in making my wordart. For my single stamp frame, I want to thank, Gunhild Storeide for it.I just made the multiple type stamp..Thanks a lot. I truly love it. Now, I will give you a very easy tutorial on how to use the stamp with your photo. I am using adobecs3 but I think you can still do this on Cs and CS2. I really don't know if this can be done using Elements.

1. put the stamp on your paper then put your photo on top .

2. You can resize the photo to fit the stamp or just make sure the part that you want to be seen on the stamp is on top of the stamp.

3.Go to Layer and click "create clipping mask" In CS3 you can use the shortcute alt+cltrl+G and you've just made a stamp out of your photo. Hope you uunderstood it. LOL

I have told you about the Hue/Saturation (ctrl U)feature: Play with the sliders and change the color of the element or paper.

I used elements and papers of this kit with the photo on top. I think I did not put all the elements on the preview page. I honestly forgot to put them . Just take it as a surprise. Hehe.

The "That's what you are" wordart is just something I made out of OhmyGodstars font. It is free, just search it.I forgot where I got the font. Hihihi sorry.

And of course, in the photo is my favorite model Iya Marie who just came in from Cebu to stay with her mamoo for 3 weeks. I guess that will be my sweetest birthday present. Unless, Jimboy and Edrie send me something more sweet. HAHAHAHA. I miss you guys!!!

Not much is happening lately except for a surprise call from my son Edric Jame who is Dubai. Believe it or not but according to him ,it is 50 degrees C out there. MY MY MY! Remember I was giving credit to somebody named Barbie in Angelsbookscrapping? I went back to the site to check it . I found out the she was busted for piracy. Uh oh I hope she did not get the QP's i made for the site. Well, I guess she not the only one. I see some designers who are using other designs. The only difference is they change the color or texture. I wonder if that's okay?LOL. Too bad. It could have a been a wonderful and successful bookscrapping site. My See-Tru Kit

It's a super hot day today! Though I have errands to do, I had to postpone for a while because of the heat and the traffic. I don't understand what is happening in Dumaguete City. So many rather too many roads are under repair. I don't understand why they have to destroy roads that do not need repair anyway. I wonder what will happen when the classes starts by June. OOOHHH NOOO! Elections? No comment. LOL.

I was not feeling well this morning but thanks for a cold bath I am feeling much better( that's wrong grammar! Hahaha) Anyway, since I have two maids right now, I am feeling senyorita. LOL. I have been playing around with adobe since this morning and decided to finish my new kit. I will be sending the my other maid to my daughter Crissy soon so I might as well take advantage of having 2 in the meantime. LOL

The game continued the next day because it was Tita Dutchie's bday ( celebrated in advance) . So that means MORE EATING! LOL

Fun with Quickpages

My car is here. I practiced driving it yesterday. I thought I destroyed something cuz when I restarted it, it did not start. Tried and tried it but no good. The mechanic tried to fix it for 3 hours only to discover that I a wire connection near the accelarator was detached. Maybe I accidentally kicked it or something. LOL

It's raining again after a day of sunshine. I am still lazy to go out so I've been here in front of my computer for quite some time already.. Updating my blog is my last mission. LOL. Did a lot of new pages already but mostly for my grand daughter Iya.

I had a great fun making these quickpages for Angel Scrapbook Freebie Forum. I just discovered their site this morning and truly enjoyed chatting with Barbie (the site Administrator) She's very nice. RAINY SUMMER DAY!

It has been raining for 2 days already. Not just a little summer rain but real "rain rain go away" LOL. Well, since i'm tooooo lazy to go out , I decided to continue my new kit. I call it I Heart You kit. Hihi. I really don't know else to call kit. My friend Fritz aka Chingjp taught me how to make the shape texting style ( is that how I should call it? lol) and tried it. I want to share them with you. I enjoyed doing the trick though. it's simply making a shape with your custom shape tool (I am using adobe cs3) and texting inside it. I only made 2 papers, if you want to change the color, simply play with the hue/saturation adjustment layer. Just like what I did on my sample page.

In my LO, I just borrowed some leaves I downloaded from digiscrapdepot. And of course, the photo is my favorite model Iya, my sweet grand daughter who I am missing so much. BTW, the first photo is a page I made for SBF ( my favorite scrapbooking site) . The heart and charm on "I have a Big Appetite"page is from Jaelop.

Missing my Baby

I don't know why. Probably it is because it was Mothers Day yesterday. I am missing my babies who are so away from us. Edrica in the the US and Jimboy in Dubai. Edrica was recently awarded as Most Outstanding Nurse in the Oncology Dept. We celebrated Mother's day with my sister-in-laws. Really had fun eating and playing mahjong (a famous chinese game) . I am so excited to see my youngest son who will be coming home from Boracay maybe tomorrow of Wednesday but also a bit worried because I know he is having a bad cough. Her aunt called to tell us that we need to have him checked by a doctor because of his frequent nightmares. I really pray that there is nothing wrong with his pancreas.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE. I am so happy that none of my children who are all not with us right now, did not forget to greet me this special day. Our yungest John Matz will be home next week from Boracay ( unfortunately he will be coming home with a bad cough).My daughter Crissy called to greet me and I got a call from my son Jimboy in Dubai and he sent me a cash gift. Yipee. Edrica my eldest who is in Maryland sent me a note in my facebook account. Oh she does not have to send me a cash gift. She does already every month. LOL. I miss them so very much. My very special gift is from my husband, a bag of chocolates and a CAR!!! It will be ready by next week. HAHAHA!!

OK now about bookscrapping, LOL, I don' have a freebie today because I've been very busy making scrapbooks for friends and my grandchild using free kits from very good designers. My New Kit

Hello Everyone. Finally we have electricity and my computer is a OK. Ihad my computer fixed because I did not know why my drice C is running out of space. I had 900mb left.Took them almost 4 days to fixed it but could not find the reason and when they checked my space it had 10.5 gb left. Wierd.. So I told them to just install Kasperky anti virus. Believe it or not I found the cause by myself. I was browsing my files and saw this "Temp File" . I deleted eveything in after using the internet and that's it. Hahahaha. CCleaner can't do it all.

My blood pressure is okay now. I think I had to have my sugar and cholesterol checked. I am also missing my youngest son. He has been in Boracay since April 12. He has been out of town for a month already. He texted me and he said there is a ghost in their boarding house. Their double bed started shaking and their things moving around the other day. What an experience for him.

Well, I have a freebie. I don't have a name for it. Hehehe. I guess it is because I am starting to have a headache and can't think properly right now. Hope you find them useful in your scrapbooks. Post Happy Easter!

Guess I did not have the chance to greet you a Happy Easter. Better late than never though. My husband and I had our Easter Holiday in Cebu with our grand daughter Iya. She has grown so much and looking more like her mom. Sooo Cute. She's also as smart as her Tita Edrie. hehehe. Well, we did a lot of malling, eating and a little shopping of course. I guess my husband did more shopping than I. I could say that he has a new wardrobe. hahaha. It was his birthday last April 13 anyway. I think he wants to look better and younger now that he is 61. Hahaha. I'm turning 50 very soon and I still want to look younger myself. hahaha

I am making a kit right now and I will be posting it soon. My computer was infected by a virus and I had to send it to the shop. I had no computer for 4 days . I had nothing to do that time so I started making a traditional scrapbook for Iya. I love digitalbookscrapping better though the traditional one is more challenging. I did a lot of heavy cleaning, rearranging etc while my computer was on repair and now I am still recovering from a high blood pressure . Huhuhu. I just got my computer yesterday so I'll try to finish my new kit today.

So happy to be back. Home Sweet Home. I think i'm happier now that I have my computer back. HAHAHA! Will be back!

Another Wordart

I've been busy in my computer since this morning hoping one of my children get online. Too bad, no one made a buzz. Hu hu hu. Anyway, after a heavy gardening this morning, I just could not get away from the computer. I did a lot of editing for my nephew JR who made a visit from Bacolod. He brought some pics of his first baby girl Yza and ask me to edit some for him. I got also inspired to do some wordart because again, I was to lazy to look for one that would find Yza's page. BTW Yza was born just two weeks earlier than my granda daughter Iya.

My husband and I are going out for dinner tonight. He knows that I have been rearranging and repotting my plants for more than a week already so he wants me to take a break from cooking dinner tonight. Yipee!

Here is my freebie for you. I don't know why I focused on "happiness" when in fact I am so disappointed that I have not heard from my son and daughter who are out of the country. Well, I guess it's because it a word we always want to have.

GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

Sparklies for You

I am all alone today. Actually even yesterday. My husband is in a whole day seminar and my son John Matz who is left with us left for Bacolod City yesterday for a vacation. My grand daughter and her mom left for Cebu already to join her father . I am missing her so so much that I am so excited to visit her during the Holy Week. My husband and I will be there for 9 days starting April 4-12.

What's new? Aside from the freebie, my son Edric James and her GF Marvie finally had their civil wedding last March 12 in Dubai. I think they've been together for 9 years already. They are planning to have their church wedding here in the Philippines next year. I guess I am more excited to see my son than the wedding. LOL.

I am also missing my eldest daughter Edrica who is in Maryland and has not called us for quite a long time. Thanks to face book, I get updates on how she is .

About the freebie, I was actually making a page for Iya and me and there was a space that I had to put an embellishment on. I was too lazy to search from tons of freebies that I have in my files so I decided to make my own. Hahaha. In the first place I have to update my blog too. QP for You

I made this freebie last week but unable to post it because Iya Marie was hospitalized last Friday March 7. She was having fever that morning and became higher late afternoon so we (her mom and dad and my hubby) decided to bring her to SUMC (Silliman medical Center) . There were so many people cuz there was an accident. I was happy they entertained Iya immediately inspite of all fuzz. They put a wee bag on her to have her urine checked. It was so hot in the emergency room that Iya was really sweating aside from all of us. One hour past and Iya has not made wiwi yet so the doctor advised us to go home for a while and just bring the urine for lab testing. When we arrived home, Iya made wiwi (hahaha) and her mom and dad had to go back to the hospital for lab testing.

When they came back, they said that Iya had Urinary Tract Infection and she had to be confined. Her fever might rise and cause convulsion etc.etc. Of course we got scared and had her confined at Holy Child Hospital ( which is more convenient for us). Her doctor was out of town and she left her patients to Dr. Oracion. She was very nice to us though. They placed another wee bag on Iya and guess what, there was no infection. Phew! Though we were happy about it, they still had her confined to check why she is having fever. believe it or not, Iya's fever did not come back the minute anymore. No why? We underdose her with paracetamol. hahaha. She should get 1ml and we were only giving her .5ml. Nevertheless, they still put her on dextrose and we stayed for almost 2 days in the hospital. Now we are back! And here is my freebie!!!
